Power of 5 – awesome 5 Chole Bhature joints in Delhi

The power of five continues and we look at five places where the chole Bhature is awesome. Some of these have been mentioned individually in this blog itself and there are links to it.

 1.     Sita Ram Diwan Chand – My absolute favourite and they do serve the best Chole Bhature which one feels like eating all the time. Though the distance of going to Daryaganj seems overwhelming but the trip is worth the trouble. The bhatura’s are nice and fluffy. The chole nice, not so spicy and melt in your mouth. The mandatory onions, pickles on the side and you are done!!!!'

2.     Roxy Restaurant in Lajpat Nagar – This is located on the top floor of the corner building housing McDonald in Lajpat Nagar. Lajpat Nahar is a foodie’s paradise. And this was discovered by us by chance. Asking around for a good eatery and a shopkeeper guided us to this place saying their “chole bhatura” is very nice. The restaurant sells good Chinese, North Indian dishes. There is no lift and the climb is a bit difficult. The Chole is spicy but it is excellent.

3.     Nagpal Chole Bhature – Another favourite and we have had it umpteen times. We had got furniture made at Amar Colony Furniture market and the highlight of the trip to see the furniture being made was Chole Bhature at this delightful place. The Chole Bhature is available till 3 pm after which snacks are made. Puri Chole is available in the morning. This is again to die for and regulars swear by it.

4.     Shriram Sweet House – This is located it in the Lado Sarai Market near Kamakshi Amman temple on the JNU Road. It is a hit with students studying in the vicinity. The Bhatura is fluffy and the chole is nice.
